The Hosteria Pehoe is centrally located in the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile on an island in the middle of Lago Pehoe .
It has the most stunning views imaginable.
The accommodation and food at the Hosteria are decidedly quirky but the location and scenery are some of the most spectacular you will find anywhere in the world.
You can take a fast catamaran up to the other end of the lake to see the glaciers on Lago Grey or you can walk on the iconic Cordillera del Paine.
The glorious wildlife in the park includes Andean condors, chilla grey foxes, guanaco (a type of llama), rheas, and, if you are lucky, the South American puma.
Watch out for guanacos crossing the road. Our van came off worst!
