Your Ultimate Boutique Experience In The Heart Of Berlin Hotel Otto

Did you know: 127 tonne of sausage is consumed in Berlin every day. Bring on the Currywurst- Bon Appetit!

I’m a total hotel junkie, and judging from the fact that you are reading this, so are you.

My visits have included flashy hotels, hip hotels; hotels with extravagant lobbies and grand public spaces, heck even hotels that make you feel blessed that they let you in.

Not the Hotel Otto…

Hotel otto exterior

Nestled in a charming neighbourhood in the heart of Charlottenburg the Hotel Otto is the friendliest hotel I have been to. The staff here is extremely helpful, and as it’s a family run hotel they go out of their way to make sure your visit is truly spectacular. Something I love!

Reward yourself with authentic German hospitality; your satisfaction is the Hotel Otto’s business.

The Hotel resides in the midst of kitsch boutiques and cosy cafes and is a little gem not to be missed. It has a modern but comfortable interior, and has a lot to offer both business and personal travellers.

Keep your eyes peeled for the OTTO bunnies as you turn each corner towards your room.

The interior is trendy and colourful, clean and inviting.

The most impressive aspect of the hotel is the 7th floor lounge (Etage07), which boasts spectacular views of the Berlin rooftops. Best enjoyed while sipping on some flavoured tea (of which the hotel have a vast collection, including Sweet Pi Lo Chun, Mango Lu Dao and Peppermint). Accompany that with a home-baked slice of cake fresh out of the oven, and you’re good to go.

A book nerd like me was in heaven in the reading nook nestled in the corner of the restaurant, which houses a collection of books, magazines and newspapers.

I was delighted to learn that the Hotel Otto caters to all diets. Serving gluten free bread, vegetarian and meat breakfast options as well as vegetarian sandwiches and snacks throughout the day.

Drinks are also on the house throughout the day.

Insider info: Check out the purple smoothie at breakfast, you’re taste buds will love you for it!

Otto collage 2Hotel Otto is located very close to transport links; both U-Bahn (Ernst-Reuter-Platz) and S-Bahn (Savignyplatz) offer quick commute to the centre of Berlin.

This means less time traveling and more time exploring the wonderful city, and what it has to offer. Which is a lot.

There are a number of vibrant restaurants surrounding the hotel, including Indian, American, German and Greek specialities. So you’ll be spoilt for choice on what to eat. Front desk will also order and deliver your food straight to your room, should you choose to have a lazy night in.

WIFI is free, throughout the hotel.

The hotel room categories include standard, comfort, studio and suite levels, all with an en-suite.

The hotel supports the ‘slow food’ global association, and has a focus towards environmental sustainability. So provide regional specialities that change on a regular basis, in addition to their regular scrumptious breakfast spread.

Say goodbye to the same old dreary menu day in day out, and hello to a revolving menu of specialities to entice your palate.

Ask at the reception if you want to rent a bike, if you happen to forget your European adapter plug, the hotel Otto can help you with that too (Not speaking from experience or anything ;-) )

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Otto and judging by the awesome reviews online, I’m not the only one! I will certainly return there on any future trips to Berlin.

Why not contact this award-winning hotel to reserve a room today; with prices starting from as little as 80 Euros, there really is no excuse.
