It is refreshing to arrive at the gorgeous Dewa Resort nestling on the shores of Nai Yang beach.
This beautiful and beguiling area offers some of the best beaches that Thailand has to offer with magnificent sunsets guaranteed.
Nai Yang Beach
The resort is close to Phuket and the international airport there.
We hired scooters to get to the resort. It took an hour to motor along the scenic route taking in the sights on the way.
The resort staff greeted us with delicious sweet Rosella tea, very refreshing after our warm scooter ride in.
Desk staff made the check-in process seamless and soon, we were settled in our two-bed apartment.
The apartment is first class with a view out over one of two massive enticing swimming pools.
As well as the huge and comfortable bed in each room, the apartment boasts two bathrooms. The master suite has a wonderful shower and a circular bath as well as a fully furnished and very clean and tidy kitchen. There is a comfortable living/dining area with dining table and a relaxation area with a couple of very comfy couches.
The two flat-screen TV’s in the apartment both had cable as standard and Wi-Fi was free. We thought we had hit the pinnacle of our stay. However, nothing could prepare us for the opulence of moving on into one of the luxury pool villas.
We decided to try one of the thirty-four private pool villas that the resort has to offer. While the two-bed apartments surpassed our expectations, the pool villa was simply breath-taking. The light and airy main room was dominated, though not dwarfed by a stunning, four-poster king-sized bed, with a perfectly laid out living area designed to be as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
If the inside wasn’t opulent enough, just outside the apartment, set in a fenced-off area, we had our own private swimming pool to relax in. This is one of the main highlights of the private pool villas and an experience not to be missed. The sheer luxury of waking up in a sumptuous bed and stepping straight out into your own personal pool is amazing and is something that you simply have to experience.
This is how you would expect the wealthy to travel; total relaxation on your own away from any hustle and bustle. Spend all day just lazing around, enjoy the sun with the occasional dip in your own pool. Total luxury.
The food, as you would expect from a resort of this standard, is exquisite and plentiful. An on-resort bakery called “The Beard & Butter Café” serves a plethora of local snacks and delights, and the onsite restaurant is fully stocked to meet your needs.
The resort wishes to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. The manager, Lillian, wishes that her guests receive the best service possible and takes personal pride in greeting you.
Phuket has many good hotels and resorts but the Dewa resort is by far the best. This has been a real high point of the trip and one that I’ll remember vividly for many years.
